Simple Entertaining- Korean Party

With all the hype of all the Korean dramas and fashion, even Korean food has become a favorite for many. That’s why having a Korean party with the focus on the food is definitely going to please people

Theme: Korean

Decorations:

None needed, just spread out the table with all the banchans (side dishes) and that’ll be the decorations.
When I visited Korea, there were no centerpieces or decorations, so, it'll be nice and simple to follow.

Simple Entertaining- Sleepover/ Slumber Party

Uh-oh, sounds like trouble when you have people all over the house!!
Actually, with enough activities, you can really have fun and minimize the trouble.

Preparation:

Select a big space, and place a long table at the side for food.
Keep all the mattresses aside, while all the activities are on.
Later, after a sweep, lay down the mattresses.
Get your guests to bring their own pillow and blanket to minimize work.

Long Time No See/ Reunion Party Game: Animal Couples

This is quite hilarious, and sounds like a zoo!! Very fun!

Prepare cards with different animals.
Each animal should have 2 cards.
Each guest will receive a card with an animal.

Then, explain that the guests should make sounds of the animals when the game starts, and then find the other matching pair.

Simple Entertaining- Long time no see/ Reunion Party

It’s nice to catch up with friends you haven’t seen for ages, but when there’s a sizable group to catch up with, why not have a mini party for all? It’s a nice treat for everyone.

Preparation:
There will be lots of chit-chatting, so, make sure there are enough seats for everyone, and enough space for people to walk around mingling around. The best solution is still to have a simple buffet table, and let everyone focus on the conversations.

Simple Entertaining- Housewarming Party- Treasure Hunt Centerpiece and Menu

Since a new house is only slowly getting stocked, coupled with the fact we are busy giving attention to the guests, we can keep it simple with the decor and meal. After all, guests are here to see the house and walk around chatting.

Set up a table for food and drinks, and use paper plates and cutlery to save time on cleaning.
Candles set the mood for a housewarming party, so maybe a centerpiece like this will be great!!

Have chairs around to encourage people to sit while eating.

Suggested Menu:
To minimize mess, it's better to use food that can be held easily, or if it's wrapped separately.

Sandwiches
Satay/ meat skewers
Dips
Buns
Cookies
Mini pizzas
Samosas

Simple Entertaining- Housewarming Party Idea: Treasure Hunt

How to make a housewarming party interesting? It's quite boring just to have someone bring along a plate, and sit down and eat.. and of course one wants to show off the new house a bit after all the effort put in. :0)

Theme: Treasure Hunt

This unfortunately require quite a lot of preparation. But, it's quite fun for the guests.
You need a treasure map, which is essentially a floor plan of your house.
Mark a few places on the map, which you would like to show your guests. Eg: your beautiful toilet? :0)
And thereafter, at those marked places, place a bowl of wrapped sweets, chocolates or candy canes. (Try to put it at very obvious places cause you don't want people to mess up your room)

The idea is for your guests to follow the floor plan to find all the rooms you want to show them, and at the same time collect the 'treasures'. In the end, they will be led to the dining room, where the food is!
